Adult sports is a great, fun way to maintain physical fitness and do so without even thinking about it. From our adult basketball to volleyball leagues, we provide safe recreational sports with certified referees to maintain the YMCA atmosphere you expect.
The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program helps overweight adults at risk for type 2 diabetes reduce their risk for developing the disease by taking steps that will improve their overall health and well-being. The program provides a supportive environment where participants work together to achieve the program goals of reducing individual weight by 7% and building up to 150 minutes of moderate (the equivalent of brisk walking) physical activity per week for the purpose of reducing their risk for developing diabetes.
Each week, we offer over 40 hours of group exercise classes included in your membership. From spinning to strength, Zumba to Silver Sneakers, our classes cover all abilities and ages. SilverSneakers is a no-cost membership benefit to some seniors. The mission is to make fitness more fun and accessible to boomers and beyond. We've designed fitness classes set to your favorite tunes that are led by enthusiastic instructors. Silver Sneakers classes are designed to be low impact and focus on helping maintain muscle strength and mobility.
We offer a fully-equiped 2,300 square foot fitness center with treadmills, ellipticals and bikes from Precor, strength equipment and free weights from Star Trac. We also have an indoor walking track in our gymnasium and 11 spin bikes usable at all times.
