Tashia Norman
Associate Executive Director (Program Director)
Tashia has led the YMCA’s Child Care program since 2014, and has expanded her role as our Associate Executive Director starting in 2022. She oversees all of our child development programs, which have grown to include three school age sites and 7 toddler and preschool classrooms. Tashia graduated from Ohio University in 2012 with a bachelors degrees in Early Childhood Education. She has worked as a preschool teacher through Head Start and the YMCA. When she’s not serving our YMCA, she is a Board Member at the Majestic Theatre and volunteers for numerous community events. She is the proud mother of her son Andrew, a student at Zane Trace.
Brianna McIntosh
Administrative & Enrollment Specialist (Site Administrator)
Brianna has been leading our child care administrative services including program enrollment and site management since 2022. She lives Jackson, Ohio with her boyfriend and two dogs, Wilbur and Langston. She enjoys reading, cooking, and playing her dogs. She also has a twin sister who is a Lead Teacher at the YMCA.
Lead Teacher
Lyv has taught at the YMCA since 2022 and currently teaches early preschool aged children. She enjoys books, painting, crocheting, and gardening. She also enjoys involving nature in her teaching including learning about plants, bugs, taking nature walks, and learning all about science. Lyv was awarded her Child Development Associate (CDA) certification in 2023.
Lead Teacher
Sierra has taught at the YMCA since 2022 and currently teaches early preschool aged children. Sierra is a graduate of Greenfield McClain High School. Sierra was awarded her Child Development Associate (CDA) certification in 2023. She enjoys taking the children on adventures around the community and keeping them active and laughing.
Lead Teacher
Carrissa has taught at the YMCA since 2022 and currently teaches pre-K children at the YMCA. She recently was awarded her Child Development Associate (CDA) certification. She has taught for 4 years and is married to her husband Alan. They have a daughter Blaire, two cats (Echo and Oliver) and a dog (Griffey). Carrissa hopes that every child in her class enters kindergarten ready to thrive!
Lead Teacher
Brenna has been at the YMCA since 2018 and currently teaches toddlers at the YMCA. She recently was awarded her Child Development Associate (CDA) certification. She is from Nelsonville, Ohio and currenty lives in Jackson. She has three sisters (incluidng her identical twin who also works in our child care program) and one brother. She loves books, coffee, fall, and all of the children in our program!
Lisa has been at the YMCA since 2024 and currently teaches preschool aged children at the YMCA. She has received her Child Development Associate (CDA) certification program. Lisa has taught for 12 years in her career. She graduated from Fairfield High School. She has two sons, Clayton and Bryson, a dog named Buddy, and a cat named Callie. She loves reading and gardening in her spare time.
Shannon has been with the YMCA since 2017 and currently provides for all of the nutrition needs of the children. Shannon meal plans, orders, and prepares breakfast, lunch, and snack for all of our students. She has also served in the classroom since 2017 for toddlers and preschool aged children. She enjoys camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Taylor has been at the YMCA since 2023 and assists with toddler and preschool classrooms. She has four cats and four dogs, and 11 siblings. She enjoys painting and crafting when she's at home, and her favorite food is BBQ chicken.
Hannah has been at the YMCA since 2023 and assists with toddler and preschool classrooms. She graduated from Chillicothe High School in 2023 and went to Pickaway Ross Joint Vocational School for Early Childhood Development. She enjoys time with family, coffee, and country music.
